Dips

DIPS! They are truly the MVP of a baby and toddler’s plate. You can introduce them starting at 6 months old.

Here’s the scoop for toddlers:

I typically give my toddlers or kids a choice of 2 either through a visual or verbal choice. Young toddlers- I usually pick. If it becomes a problem where they want only dips then I will portion it out in a little bowl, put the container back in the fridge and show them the expectation that this is all we have for today’s meal.

Using for food play- let your child explore on hands and fingers to increase sensory play. “Do you want your carrot to go for a swim?”

For babies, my favorite way to use dips is to help add moisture to meats.

Want a store bought kind? I love Tessemae or Primal Kitchen for no added sugar.
